Terms of Service

1) Acceptance

By installing or using the app (the “App”), you agree to these Terms of Service (the “Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2) What this App is

The App is a simple, local-first note-taking tool. It is designed to work offline and without an account.

Privacy-first, by design:
  • We don’t track you or serve ads.
  • We don’t collect your email or any personal information.
  • We don’t collect analytics or telemetry.
  • Your notes stay on your device. No third-party servers are used.
  • The App works locally and offline.

3) Backups & Storage

On Android, the system’s built-in auto backup may store your notes (up to 25 MB) with your Google account to support device restore and re-installation. You can manage Android backup behavior from your device settings and Google account settings.

4) Optional features

The App may offer optional features that involve limited use of your personal storage, such as Google Drive integration. If enabled, we only use the Google Drive app data folder tied to your own account. We cannot access your general files and folders.

All such features are opt-in. You can continue using the App without enabling them.

5) Your content

You own your notes and any other content you create in the App. We do not claim ownership or control over your data. You are responsible for complying with applicable laws when creating, storing, or sharing content from your device.

6) License & restrictions

We grant you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App as provided. You agree not to reverse engineer, modify, distribute, or exploit the App beyond what is permitted by law.

7) Prohibited use

You may not use the App to violate laws; infringe others’ rights; distribute malware; attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system; or in any way that could interfere with or harm the operation of devices or services.

8) Third-party services

The App does not rely on third-party servers. However, platform features such as Android auto backup or Google Drive integration are provided by Google under their own terms and policies, which you should review separately.

9) Changes to the App and Terms

We may update the App and these Terms. Material changes will be highlighted in-App or on our website (if applicable). Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

10) Disclaimers

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement.

11) Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the App.

12) Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or revoke your license to use the App if you materially breach these Terms.

13) Governing law

These Terms will be governed by the laws that apply in your place of residence, unless a different law is required by your local consumer protection rules.

14) Contact

If you have questions about these Terms or the App, contact us via the support channel listed in the App store listing.
